On behalf of the students and director of the CMHS Band, welcome to an organization in which you can be proud. It’s very important to have new students in the band each year, and with each new class entering the band we find new and sometimes better musicians and students than the classes before. We hope that the coming years in Band will prove beneficial and rewarding for you. We will do all that is possible toward that end and know you will do likewise. As you learn more about your Band and music, we hope that you will also learn more about responsibility. At least 95% of your Band’s success depends on you being a responsible and caring person.

In order to achieve the highest standards of excellence in the CMHS High School Band, it’s necessary for the new student to become acquainted with the regulations, procedures and past traditions of the organization. It’s for this reason that this handbook is made available. Please take the time to read through it and familiarize yourself with it.
